Senior Marketing Officer – International Business Development

Job Objective:

To develop international shipping agency business by acquiring new vessel agency appointments, building relationships with global ship owners, operators, charterers, and maritime partners, and promoting Gold View Shipping Ltd. as a reliable port agency service provider in Bangladesh.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development for Ship Agency, VOCC & NVOCC services:

Identify potential ship owners, operators, charterers, ship managers, and maritime companies for agency, VOCC & NVOCC opportunities. Generate new vessel agency appointments for Chittagong and Mongla Port. Monitor vessel movements and develop business opportunities from upcoming port calls. Approach international principals with company profile, service proposals, business offers & quotations.

2. International Client Relationship Management:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with overseas principals and shipping stakeholders. Maintain regular communication with existing clients and agency partners. Understand client requirements and ensure proper coordination for service excellence.

 

3. Promotion of Port Agency Services:

Promote Gold View Shipping Ltd.’s complete port agency solutions, including: Declaring agent, Owner protecting agent (OPA), Crew Changing Assistance, VOCC, NVOCC services, Ship Chandling & husbandry services. Port documentation, coordination & Crew assistance. Immigration & customs coordination. Port operation support. Marine and logistics assistance.

 

4. Market Research & Business Expansion:

Research international shipping markets, trade routes, and potential business sectors. Analyze competitor activities and identify new opportunities. Develop strategies to increase vessel calls and company presence in the global maritime market.

 

5. Marketing Communication:

Prepare professional business emails, company presentations, proposals, and marketing materials. Maintain communication through email, LinkedIn, maritime networks, and industry platforms. Participate in maritime events, exhibitions, and business meetings.

 

6. Internal Coordination & Reporting:

Coordinate with Operations, Documentation, Finance, P&I and Claims, and other departments for smooth service delivery. Maintain client database, business pipeline, and regular marketing reports. Provide updates on new opportunities and business development activities.

 

Required Skills:

Age 27 to 40 years

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Strong Business Email Communication Skills.

Strong English writing and speaking ability.

Knowledge of shipping agency, maritime operations, and port activities.

Self-motivated, energetic, and target-oriented mindset.

Ability to communicate with international clients professionally.

Willingness to attend international shipping conferences and meetings worldwide.

Strong networking and business development capability.

 

Qualification:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Maritime Studies, or related fields.

Experience Requirements:

4 to 8 year(s) in related field.

Number of new principals contacted.

Number of vessel agency appointments secured.

Growth of international agency network.

Increase in vessel calls handled.

Client relationship development and retention.
